Good meeting with the art team today.  We added a comrade-in-arms-- James, a gentleman who weighs in with some gaming experience to bulwark our allies in the soft sciences.  We've tenuously agreed to give James the dubious honor of the Final Edit, which means his job is to look at whatever ghastly final product comes out of the computer and make it smell good.  Godspeed, James!

In other news, Mat completed a "proof of concept" that sets the architecture in place for non-physics-based collision detection, grid map design, obstacles, pseudorandom AI, spritework, and animations.  10 out of 10 Alans describe it as "not done".
